Joy Ann (Prather) Odom was born June 2, 1939 in Sayre, OK to her parents Lee (Leeper) and Rufus E. Prather. She passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Erick, OK at the age of 79 years, 5 months, 27 days.

Ann grew up in Sayre and Erick where she has made her home in Erick for many years. She was a waitress and a CNA for the Erick nursing home. Ann enjoyed reading books of all kinds. She was a very loving grandmother as well. She loved her grandkids and great grandkids very much. She enjoyed getting her hair done by Tonya Tidmore and her favorite television program was Law and Order.

She is preceded in death by her mother; Lee (Leeper) Prather, father; Rufus E. Prather, husband; James Henry Odom, son; James (Bubba) Odom, 2 brothers; Boyd Prather and T.J. Prather, 3 sisters; Nyla Speed, Carol Boyd and Linda Simpson.

Ann is survived by her daughter; Lora Odom Greer and husband Kevin of Erick, OK, 6 grandchildren; Whitney Odom McIntosh and husband Michael, Bryan Greer and wife Jerrica, Dalton Greer, Keaton Greer all of Erick, OK, Kayle Butcher and husband Jonathan and Tyler Odom all of Elk City, OK, 10 great grandchildren; Kolyn Odom, Kevin McIntosh, Kevion McIntosh, Kaiden McIntosh, Brendynn Greer, Brayden Greer and Breayia Greer of Erick, OK, Jed Butcher, Luke Butcher, Georgia Butcher all of Elk City, OK, 2 brothers; R.L. Prather and wife Jean of Carmichaels, CA, Donnie Prather and wife Jolene of Delhi, OK, sister; Mary Jane Prather and husband Ronald Pete Dunlap of Sayre, OK, and a host of many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday December 5, 2018 at Erick First Baptist Church with Bro. Charlie Floyd officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 3, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 9:00 am to 8:00 PM at Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home.
