Jesse Floyd Skelton was born September 28, 1899 in Washita County, Oklahoma, the son of Albert D. Skelton and Nancy Ann Wright Skelton. He departed this life June 29, 1959 at Sayre. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Oscar Skelton. He is survived by one sister, Lou White of Los Angeles, California, and one brother, L.D. Skelton of Oklahoma City, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Magnolia Baptist church of Crawford. Funeral services were held in Scroggins Funeral Chapel, Sayre, with Rev. A .L. Martin preaching the sermon. Committal was in Sayre-Doxey cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma.
