George Moore, 55; Cheyenne died Wednesday at the Cheyenne Hospital following an extended illness. Funeral Mass was held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cheyenne with Rev. Michael Hughes, Sayre officiating. Born in Kansas. Mr. Moore came with his parents to the Doxey community. He moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Elk City and 2 years ago to Cheyenne. He was a member of the Catholic Church and was a former Shoe Store owner in St. Louis, Missouri. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Elnora Taylor, Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. May Jones, Tampa, Florida; one brother Donald S. Moore, College Station, Texas, one niece; one nephew; and his step mother, Mrs. S. S. Moore of Sayre. Committal was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma with Scroggins and Son funeral home in charge.
