Lora Etta (Powers) Ewer

Lora Etta Ewer was born May 4, 1909 near Williamsburg, Kentucky to Verna
and T.C. Powers and passed away December 4, 1993 in the Deaconess
Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years and 7 months.

Lora moved with her parents near Erick, Oklahoma in 1916. She moved to
Paris, Texas and returned to Oklahoma in 1947 where she lived on a farm
in the Mayfield Community and reared 6 children. In 1967 she moved to
Edmond, Oklahoma to make her home.

She was a member of Memorial Road Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, 1 brother, and 1 granddaughter.

Services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 6, 1993 at the Sayre Church
of Christ officiated by Ken Allen, and assisted by Willard Cox.

Interment was in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral
Service.

Survivors include 3 daughters/sons-in-law, Sandra (Jim) Lockwood, Edmond,
Oklahoma; Bonnie (Tom) Campbell, Edmond, Oklahoma; Pam (Gary) Beals,
Reydon, Oklahoma; 2 sons/daughters-in-law, William L. (Sue) Ewer, Allen,
Texas; Alton (Janice) Ewer, Sayre, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Berry Powers,
Shamrock, Texas; Robert Powers, Dumas, Texas; 1 sister, Gladys Whelless,
Crosbyton, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host
of other relatives and friends.
