Omer Spencer Searcy

BEAVER, Okla. - Omer Spencer Searcy, 71, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the American Legion Post No. 149 Hall with David Glascock officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service.

Mr. Searcy was born in Mangum and had been a Beaver County resident since he was 1 year old. He was a World War II veteran with the Army. He retired from the oil field construction business. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 149 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He married Mary Ellen Turner in 1953 at Clayton, N.M. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include four sons, Owen Searcy of Amarillo, Leland Searcy of Mooreland, Dale Searcy of Beaver and James Searcy of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Charles Searcy of Las Vegas, N.M., Vernon Searcy of Boys Ranch, Texas, and Ronnie Searcy of Beaver; two sisters, Nadine Hecox of Liberal, Kan., and Geraldine Payne of Tulia, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
