Ted Parker
DUMAS - Ted Parker, 58, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Parker was born April 30, 1943, in Wheeler. He married Pauline Catherall on Dec. 27, 1985, in Dumas. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Dumas. He was raised on a farm where he lived and worked with his family. He graduated from Briscoe School and later came to Dumas where he worked on a farm, for the city of Dumas, at Monfort and then back to the city where he retired from the gas department. Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott Parker and wife, Susie, of Amarillo; three stepsons, Pete Catherall of Amarillo, and Fred Catherall and wife, Karen, and Paul Catherall and wife, Mary, all of Dumas; a stepdaughter, Liz Stavenhagen and husband, W.G., of Dumas; a sister, Zetha Dougherty and husband, Gene, of Pampa; four brothers, Leroy Parker and wife, Janice, of Amarillo, Gerry Parker and wife, Tish, and Nelson Parker and wife, Jane, all of Dumas, and Weldon Parker and wife, Diann, of Forgan, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 10 Elm Ave., Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 605 Spruce in Dumas. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 14, 2002 |
