Location: S23-T2-R24 The Barler Cemetery is five miles east and one half mile north of Elmwood. It was named for James S. Barler, who died in 1905. Ada Barler, wife of James S. Barler, deeded the ground to the school board of District #73, for the purpose of a public burial plot. The deed was filed for record on the 27th day of October 1915. There are 13 headstones. There is a marker on a stand, with 22 names on it.
