BOBBY JOE BRIDGES


Bobby Joe Bridges was born November 12, 1929 in Kiowa, Oklahoma to Wilson Lee and Vera (Youngblood) Bridges. He passed away from this life July 5, 2011 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 81.
Bobby served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Melissa Stoney September 9, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bobby was a lifetime member of the VFW. He enjoyed race cars, especially drag racing and getting to the bar to have a few drinks with his family and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Bridges; a daughter, Helen Bridges; four great grandchildren; parents; William & Vera Bridges; and a brother, J. W. "Dub" Bridges.
He is survived by his children; Lola Hill, Betty Smith, Barbara Dillashaw, Cleo Cody and David Bridges; 25 grandchildren;39 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Lola Milton; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Visitation: 6:00 - 7:00 PM - Wednesday, July 6, 2011
