Pleasant View Cemetery


Jet – The funeral for Frank R. Vickers, 63, who died Wednesday at his home in Jet, will be at 10 AM Friday at Jet First Christian Church. The Rev. Sandy Chace will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, Cherokee.

He was born January 12, 1927, at Anthony, Kansas, to Frank and Huldah Platt Vickers and lived in the Jet area most of his life. He was a retired farmer and shoe store owner. On February 8, 1952, he married Betty Keck at Cherokee. He was a member of First Christian Church in Jet.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Gene (Linda) Vickers of Arlington, Virginia, Mrs. Larry (Ann) Clem of Portland, Oregon, Kay Tomberlin of Alva and Sue Walton of Claremore; his mother, Huldah Argenbright of Cherokee Manor; and four grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father.
