Judith Riley
Judith “Judy” Riley, 64, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008. She was born on March 14, 1944, in Cherokee, OK to Ralph and Mildred (Tucker) Collins.
In 1962, Judy graduated from Jet High School in Jet, OK, and Longview Community College in Lee’s Summit, Mo. She attended college at Northwestern Junior College in Tonkawa, OK. She was employed as a financial systems analyst for 29 years at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Kansas City, Mo., until her retirement in 2003. She was presently employed by H&R Block. Judy was a caring and loving mother and grandmother and a wonderful friend to all. She was a member of the Jet United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Riley and Sharla and husband, Dane Sommer; three beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Logan and Lauren Sommer; one sister, Marilyn Smith and husband, John; and three nieces and their families.
Services will be held at the Jet United Methodist Church, Jet, OK, at 2 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2008, with Rev. Kenn Burnham officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery north of Jet with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., of Cherokee.
