JACK H. JAMES
Graveside services with full military honors for Jack H. James, 77, will be today at 2 p.m. in Pleasant View Cemetery, Jet. Linda Caywood will officiate. Arrange-ments are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Jack was born July 18, 1929, in Orin, Mich. to Dave and Pauline Shick James and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in Enid.
He was raised in Lawrenceville, Ill. He chose the Air Force as his career, serving with honor for 23 years.
Jack loved to fish and everywhere he was stationed he found a good fishing hole. His greatest joy was his children, grandchilren and great-grandchildren. He and Nelda Covey were married Aug. 18, 1952, in Jet. After retirement from the Air Force they returned to Jet, moving to Enid in 1992.
Jack is survived by his wife Nelda, of the home; two daughters, Cindy and Kari, both of Enid; his son, Leonard and his wife, Carol of Yukon; three sisters, Shirley and Helen, both of Lawrenceville, Ill. and Sandra of Port St. James, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry; son, Dennis; two grandsons and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to the Jet Fire Department with Henninger-Allen Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
