Etta Hopkins
July 18, 1932 - August 4, 2023

Celebration of life service for Etta Hopkins, age 91, of Enid will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Willow View Church, with Rev. Alan Siebel officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery near Jet. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Etta was born to Harold Alvin and Ruby Maxine (McClure) Webber, on July 18, 1932, in Dewey, Oklahoma and passed away Friday August 4, 2023 at her home in Enid, surrounded by her family.

Etta graduated from Blackwell High School in 1950 and attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. On December 25, 1952, Etta married Grant Hopkins in El Dorado, Kansas. Etta worked several different jobs, Joskees Department Store in San Antonio, she received her cosmetology license in Bartlesville, she then worked at the tag agency in Jet/Nash, Diller Insurance in Nash, and the Jet city clerk's office. But Etta's greatest accomplishment was being a wife and mother to their 4 children.

Etta was a beautiful oil painter and loved to work with ceramics. She found joy in traveling, bowling, playing bingo, and cards. But the greatest joys in her life was her family, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Etta is survived by her children Gail Brown of Enid, Jerry and Carla Hopkins of Enid, Glenda and Steven Aebi of Enid, and Gary and Gwen Hopkins of The Colony, Texas; 4 grandchildren Jennifer and Shon Jackson, Jason and Carli Aebi, Jessica Aebi, and William Hopkins; 6 great grandchildren Maegan Jackson, Mason Jackson, Colton Aebi, Caiden Aebi, Reese Lenherr, and Josie Lenherr; and 2 sisters Donna Walker and Marilyn Head.

She was preceded in death by her husband Grant in 2017, parents Harold and Ruby Webber, and 3 brothers James, Bud and Bill.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Hope Outreach Parenting Ministry.
