Dorothy Lee HEER


ENID, Okla. - The funeral for Dorothy Heer, age 97, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at New Hope United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mark Dirks officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born to Williams and Viola (Orr) Stovall on July 31, 1916, on the family farm southwest of Nash, and passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013, in Enid.

Dorothy grew up near Nash, OK. On May 20, 1956, she married David Brady Heer in Fairview, and they made their home in Jet, OK.

Dorothy worked in banks and savings and loan companies, Jet election board, and participated in Mothers Club. She was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Judith Kliewer and husband James of Sun City, Arizona, and Dixie Scott and husband Vern of Lucedale, MS; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and infant child, Robert.
