Jet, OK. - Funeral service for Joann Elizabeth Brewer, 69, was Monday at the United Methodist Church in Jet with the Rev. Diana Pruitt officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery north of Jet, directed by Lanman Funeral Home. She died March 3, 2005, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid, OK.

She was born Jan. 16, 1926, in Oklahoma City, OK. to Roy and Marie Mitchell Yates. She married Mac Brewer March 20, 1953. They lived in Germany for two years, in Enid, OK. from 1956 through 1967 where Joann worked for Champlin Oil Company and moved to Jet in 1967 where she worked at Jet Lumber Company until she retired.

She was a member of the Jet Christian Church, the Friday Senior Bowling League of Enid and the Meadowlake Ladies Golf Association of Enid.

She is survived by a son, Ken of Jet, OK.; a daughter, Annette Anderson of Bartlesville, OK.; four grandchildren, and her companion, George Myrick.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
