Lester Leon WHITE

Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Carmen, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma


Claremore - Funeral services for Lester Leon White, 80, were Friday at Ninde Woodland Chapel, Tulsa, with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Carmen, directed by Ninde Funeral Directors. He died March 4, 2003, at the Veterans Center in Claremore.

He was born May 22, 1922, in Lambert to Robert Frederick and Estelle Elsie Root White. He worked for the FAA and as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Red Glove Review, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Southside Christian Church. He was a home builder in Tulsa during the 1960s.

He is surviveed by his wife Ellen Marie Pulver; daughters, Nikki Meyer of Enid and Tanis Olson of Wichita, Kan.; son, Steve White of Wichita, Kan.; stepchildren, Robin Cameron and Kim Miller, both of Tulsa, and Tim Warchol of Hudson, N. Y.; sisters, Temple Tucker of Enid and Twyla Provost of Cherokee; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
