The funeral for Floyd LeRoy Green, 76, will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Enid. The Rev. Richard Stephens will officiate. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, north of Carmen. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Floyd was born to Homer LeRoy and Ruth (Murphy) Green Dec. 6, 1938, on a farm northeast of Carmen, and passed away Friday, August 7, 2015, at his home in Enid.

Floyd attended first grade at Lambert. During second grade, the family moved to a farm closer to Carmen, where he attended the remaining 11 years of school.

After dating Virginia Webster most of his high school years, they were married May 31, 1957, in Carmen. Floyd worked in elevator grain management. On Sept. 14, 1958, their daughter Pamela Jean was born in Cherokee. Then on a cold night in Wichita, Kan., Pam was blessed with a sister, Roxane Leigh. Rodney LeRoy completed their family on Sept. 3, 1967.

Floyd is survived by his wife Virginia; three children, Pam and husband Roland VonSchriltz of Enid, Roxane and husband Martin Brown of Canute, Okla., Rodney and wife Cheryl Green of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Norma and husband Raymond Lamle of Enid, Kathryn Jenkins of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren, Casey and wife Jayme VonSchriltz of Enid, Kyle and Tamara Green of Houston, Texas, Chara Brown of Canadian, Texas, Christopher Brown and wife Bethany of Lubbock, Texas; and one precious great-grandchild Elijah VonSchriltz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Larry Jenkins.
