NINA LUCILE SAWYER
No service is planned for Nina Lucile Sawyer, 92, of Cherokee, OK. At her request, her body was donated to the University of Oklahoma Anatomical Board under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home, Enid, OK.
She was born Nov. 29, 1912, in Hillsdale, OK. to Thomas Newton and Lelia Keplinger Puryear and died Wed. June 15, 2005, at Cherokee Manor Nursing Home, Cherokee, OK.
She grew up in Hillsdale, OK.
She married Virgil Sawyer June 16, 1936. He died in 1967.
She worked for Enid State School and Cherokee Manor Nursing Home.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her husband, Virgil, she was preceded in death by a daughter.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Cherokee Manor Nursing Home.
