DELEAH MAE PEFFLY
A graveside service for Deleah Mae Peffly, 81, of Amorita, OK., will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2005, in Waldron Cemetery, Waldron, KS. Allen Hess will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Goodwin Funeral Home, Cherokee, OK. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 3, 1923, in Amorita, OK. to Clifford and Leah Stewart Polson and died Monday, October 24, 2005, at her home.
She married Alfred Peffly in Alva, OK. April 9, 1940. He died in 1996. She was a retired dairy farmer and artist.
She was a member of Rosedale Church of Christ, ABBD Senior Citizens and Alfalfa County Historical Society. She volunteered working with the deaf at Adams School in Enid, OK. and Jane Brooks School, Chickasha, OK.
Surviving are three daughters, Janice Saxton of Placitas, N.M., Sheryl Bolenbaugh of Carrier, OK., and Anita Doherty of Amorita, OK.; one son, Roger Peffly of Amorita, OK.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Alfred, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to ABBD Senior Citizens, Amorita-Byron Fire Department or Oklahoma Medical Research, Cancer Division.
