MAXINE A. NICHOLS
Graveside service for Maxine A. Nichols, 84, of Enid will be Saturday, October 29, 2005, at 4 p.m. in Enid Cemetery. Rev. Marvin Goodpasture will officiate. Arrangements made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born December 20, 1920, near Aline, OK. to Harvey T. and Myrtle Rexroat Kerr and died Oct. 26, 2005, at Highland Park Manor. She attended Cheney Dale Grade School. She married Chester Nichols July 22, 1939, in Helena, OK. They lived in the Helena area until moving to Enid, OK. in 1974. Chester passed away March 10, 1984. She worked at St. Mary's Regional Hospital as a nurse's aide for 23 years. She was active in the United Methodist Church of Helena, working as a Sunday School teacher and involved in the Methodist Women Fellowship helping make quilts. Her hobbies were quilting and ceramics and she won several ribbons in the Wichita shows.
She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis Paine of Enid, OK., Myrtle Madison of Enid, OK., and Barbara Habrock of Lahoma, OK.; two brothers, Bill Kerr of Helena, OK. and Herb Kerr of Longdale, OK.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her step-mother, Mary Ellen Kerr, two sisters and one great-grandson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be made to the family at ladusauevans.com.
