JACK MILAM
Victoria, TX. - The funeral for Jack Milam, 69, Victoria, TX., was Aug. 10, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Victoria, with the Rev. Daniel Zellmer officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery directed by Rosewood Funeral Chapels, 361-573-4546.
He was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Clinton, OK. to the late Joseph and Lillian Strite Milam. He graduated from Patti Welder High School in 1954 and the University of Texas in 1962. He was the justice of the peace, Precinct 2, for Victoria County. He was a member of Christ the Victor Lutheran Church where he was a lay minister. He was a longtime insurance agent with Farmers Insurance and served in the U.S.Army. He served on the Victoria Public School Board and the Friends of the Zoo.
The Milams were a pioneer family in the Amorita, OK. area where Jack frequently visited and owned property.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Holan Milam; a daughter, Krista Finnegan of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sons, David Joseph of Studio City, CA. and Steven Michael of Princeton, MN., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Baker Milam.
Memorials may be made to Christ The Victor Lutheran Church through the funeral home. He died Aug. 7, 2005.
