WILMA LAMBERT
The funeral for Wilma Lambert, 97, of Alva, OK. will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Judye Pistole will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 15, 1908, south of Burlington, OK. to Ryel and Naomi George Meredith and died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Share Convalescent Home, Alva, OK.
She graduated from Burlington High School and attended Northwestern Teachers College, receiving her teaching certificate. She taught all grades in a small country school for several years.
She married Elmer Fred Lambert Nov. 29, 1929. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Reta Faye Lancaster; one grandson; one great-grandchild; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Elmer, she was preceded in death by one daughter, one granddaughter, one brother and two sisters.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Alva Municipal Cemetery beautification fund.
