Daryl Dean Koon
Funeral services for Daryl Dean Koon, age 68 will be Friday, April 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Chapel. Shorty Unruh will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visition time will be from 6 to 9 Thursday evening. Arrangements made by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Daryl was born December 27, 1936 to Howard and Leila McNabb Koon in Cherokee, OK and died at St. Mary's Regional Hospital, Enid, OK on April 3, 2005. Daryl graduated from Helena High School in 1955. In 1960 he married the love of his life, LaDonna Blair. He retired from Northwest Financial (Wells Fargo) in 1991 and returned home to Oklahoma. Daryl was an avid OU fan and loved the St. Louis Cardinals and had a passion for bowling with his wife, LaDonna and all who bowled with him at Oakwood Bowl.
He loved vacation cruises with his many friends and cherished all the memories made for him and his wife. Daryl volunteered at AARP for 11 years preparing taxes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, LaDonna of Enid, mother, Leila Bringham Koon, a son Kevin Koon and whis wife Kimberly of St. Charles, MO, a daughter, Brenda Koon of St. Louis, MO and three grandchildren Meaghan, Lauren and Patrick of St. Charles and two step sisters and sister-in-law.
Memorials can be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
He will be missed but never forgotten. He cherished all his friends and loved ones. Thank you to all that touched his life.
