Funeral service for Ruth Knopf, age 86, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Bethel Baptist Church in Cherokee with Rev. Melvin Warkentin and Mark Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at Keith Cemetery west and south of Burlington with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Cherokee. The casket will be open on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home in Cherokee and on Thursday at the church before the service.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Bud of the home; two sons, Albert Eugene Knopf and wife, Ellen of Burlington and James Knopf of rural Cherokee and two step-grandchildren, John and Christy Kerfoot.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church through the funeral home.
