MARIE L. UNRUH
Funeral services for Marie L. Unruh, age 85, of Enid, OK., will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Clarence Glaze officiating. Burial will follow in the Karoma Cemetery, Goltry, OK. with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Marie was born January 20, 1920 in Goltry, OK. to John and Lena Becker Smith and gracefully passed away July 8, 2005 at St. Mary's Regional Hospital to be with the Lord.
She attended Goltry schools and in 1939 she married Lee Unruh. They moved to Enid, OK. in 1941 when her husband started a home building business and she was the bookkeeper.
Marie was a homemaker, she loved to cook, sew, entertain and take care of her home and family. She was a member of the First Love Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Her son, Gary Unruh; two daughters Karen and Kay, all of Enid, OK.; one brother Lawrence Smith of Enid, OK.; her granddaughter Jennifer Erdman of Kansas City, MO. and two great-grandchildren Gus and Audrey survive her.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; infant daughter Peggy Jane; three brothers Alvin, Clyde, and Elmer; three sisters Virginia Wuerflein, Genevieve Unruh, and Mabel Jones.
Marie will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and beautiful smile.
