Karoma Cemetery



CARRIER — The funeral for Gary W. Stucker, 70 year-old Carrier resident, will be 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Velmer Goebel will officiate. Burial will follow in Karoma Cemetery in Goltry.

Gary was born February 22, 1941, to Walter V. Stucker and Beulah M. (Springer) Stucker and died on the family farm near Carrier on Thursday, September 8, 2011.

He attended Carrier schools, graduating with the class of 1959. He was a member of the championship basketball team at Carrier. He then attended Oklahoma State University, where he studied forestry. He worked at Vance Air Force Base as a senior jet engine specialist for 24 years. He also helped his father on the farm his entire life.

He was an avid OSU football fan. He enjoyed southwestern history, especially New Mexico history. He loved animals, had several cats and a special dog, Choco.

He is survived by two sons, Vincent Stucker and daughters, Abigail Lincoln, 9, and Katherine, 6, and Matthew Stucker and daughters, Blair, 17, and Victoria (Tori, 7; two sisters, Mona Stucker Hoskins and Marion Stucker Decker; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be given through the funeral home to Cowboy Church.
