GEO. DITTRICH DEAD

Death came yesterday morning to George Dittrich who for nearly 3 weeks has been battling with a fatal sickness. He was first stricken with typhoid fever but later pneumonia and internal hemorrhage set in and after a brave struggle, the strength and vigor of his young manhood was forced to yield to the grim reaper.

Wherever the hand of death falls it rests heavily but when it strikes down a young life where youth merges into manhood, it adds still further to the grief of the final separation. The sorrowing family have the sympathy of the entire community which is shocked by the sad news of George's death.

The funeral will be Saturday morning and interment will be in Goltry cemetery. The obituary will be published next week.

Obituary

It has so pleased our dear heavenly Father in his great wisdom to take from our midst one of our beloved boys, George Alvin Dittrick.

He was born January 6th, 1895, and departed this life August 14, 1913. He leaves a father, three brothers, and four sisters and many loving friends to mourn his loss. Again we are reminded of death which has taken from our midst a bright flower in the morning of life but God doeth all things well.

George was a bright loving boy; loved by all who knew him. He suffered a long illness of nearly 3 weeks. All was done for him that loving hands and medical skill could do but what is our loss, is his gain, our sorrow his joy.

The bereaved family wish to express their many thinks to the kind friends and neighbors who did all in their power to help and comfort in this sad time of life. Further more we wish to thank the members and friends of the United Brethren church for their efforts in arranging and decorating the church for this occasion. A. Dittrick and family.
