The graveside service for James R. Davis, 83 year-old former Lahoma resident will be 2:00PM Sunday, January 31, 2016 in Karoma Cemetery Goltry, Oklahoma. Pastor Mike Sommerfeld will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

James was born June 6, 1932 in Lahoma to Roy and Mable (Krienke) Davis and died Friday, January 29, 2016 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He attended Carrier Schools and graduated with the class of 1951.

On December 27, 1965 he married Cherryl Jantz in Enid. The couple made their home on the family farm near Lahoma where James farmed his entire life.

He is survived by his wife Cherryl of Tennessee, his daughter Sara Bowman and husband Roger, of Tennessee, three grandsons; Ian, Evan, and Alex Bowman of Tennessee. Two sisters, Judy Altvater and husband Fred and Joelene Revell and husband Elmer, one brother John Davis and wife Cheryl, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Patricia “Patty”.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to OMRF ( Demntia or Diabetes Division).
