Deloris R. Snider
Deloris Ruth Snider passed into God's hands on March 9, 2005 in Edmond, OK. She was born January 31, 1924 in Helena, OK., the daughter of Arthur O. and Vera Thralls Packard.
Deloris graduated from Helena High School and married Floyd E. "Cotton" Snider in August of 1939. She lived 49 years in Nowata, OK., serving as a doctor's assistant, past president of both the Christian Women's Fellowship and Youth Guider's Club and a faithful member of First Christian Church. She was an avid golfer, a terrific cook and a good homemaker. In 1997 she left Nowata to move closer to family in Enid, OK. where she lived until 2001 when she moved to the Oklahoma City, OK. area for health reasons.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Vera Packard; her husband, "Cotton" Snider; and sons Neil and Steven Snider.
Survivors include daughter, Debbie Snider of San Antonio, TX.; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Bernie McNickle of Oklahoma City, OK.; sister-in-law, Helen Hubbell of Helena, OK.; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Alisa and Alan Eaton and great-grandson Logan of Choctaw, OK.; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jeff and Marianne Snider and great-grandsons Josh and Colby and great-granddaughter Mackenzie of Willis, TX.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition, Deloris leaves behind a host of cousins, friends and acquaintances.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the facility that cared for Deloris so lovingly, the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute, Attn. 1003445, 3300 N.W. Expressway Street, Oklahoma City, OK. 73112--4481.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005 in the First Christian Church, Edmond, OK. with Reverend Billie Lee and Reverend Chris Shorow officiating.
Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery, Helena, OK. at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005.
