Glen Ernest Minnick
Glen was born October 5, 1929 in Aline, the son of Ernest and Myrtle Clark Minnick. He grew up in the Helena area. On January 20, 1951 he married LaJean Ruth Eubank of Orienta. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning home from Korea he took up farming in the Helena area where they lived until 1982. He worked for the State of Oklahoma for 23 years at Juvenile Detention Centers in Helena, Pryor and Sand Springs. He liked to hunt and fish and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Oakwood Christian Church in Enid and American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, LaJean Ruth Minnick of Enid; three daughters, Christi Scritchfield and husband, David of Guymon, Mary Jo Stewart of Stillwater and Terri Ann McCormick and husband, Randy of Canadian, Texas and nine grandchildren, Garett and Beckie Powell of Helena, Brand! Powell of Lubbock, Texas, Curtis Quillin, Cassy Quillin and Seth Stewart of Stillwater, Barrett and Andrew McCormick of Canadian, Texas and Alyssa Scritchfield of Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Delia Mae Bedsaul and an infant son, Rodney Alan Minnick.

LaJean Minnick
Services for LaJean Minnick, 77, of Helena, Oklahoma, will be 3 P.M. Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at First Christian Church in Helena, Oklahoma with Jay Drawbridge officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Helena, Oklahoma under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, Texas.
Mrs. Minnick passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007, in Canadian, Texas.
LaJean was born January 19, 1930, in Orienta, Oklahoma to the late Mr. Earl Eubank and Mrs. Ruth Webster Eubank.
She was a 1948 graduate of Fairview High School where she was Valedictorian and member of the National Honor Society. She then went on and attended Northwestern State College where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Epsilon social sorority, and the secretary of the Student Christian Association. She married Glen Minnick January 20 1951, in Fairview, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2002. LaJean worked for the State of Oklahoma for 20 plus years until retiring in 1997 as clerical clerk. She was a member of the Junior Homemakers in Helena, Oklahoma and the First Christian Church. She moved to Canadian, Texas on September 1, 2003 from Enid, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Alan Minnick on October 31, 1954.
She is survived by three daughters, Terri McCormick and husband, Randy, of Canadian, Texas; Christi Scritchfield and husband, David, of Guymon, Oklahoma; Mary Jo Stewart of Yukon, Oklahoma; one sister, Earlene McCune and husband, Marion, of Enid, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be sent to Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, Texas 79014.
The body will lie in state at the First Christian Church from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday, June 26, 2007.
