Doris Leone (Beatty) Ewing
The funeral for Doris Leone Ewing, 89, of Enid, formerly of Jet, Ok. will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at United Methodist Church, Jet. The Rev. Carolyn Murrow will officiate. Bural will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
She was born Nov. 2, 1919, in Helena to William G. and Tessa Miller Beatty and died Sunday, Dec 28, 2008, at United Methodist Home, Enid. She was raised in Helena, graduating in 1938.
She married Herbert Clark Ewing Dec. 24, 1940. They moved to Great Salt Plains Lake in 1985 and then to Enid in 1997. He died Aug. 21, 2007. She was a member of Jet United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Luginbill of Enid and Sheryl McKee of Fairview; three sons, Terry Ewing of Alva, Doug Ewing of Arkansas City, Ks., and Jack Ewing of Pratt, Ks.; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband, Herbert, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.Alva,
