FLORENCE CORRENDA McCONNELL BARKER BROWN
The funeral for Florence Correnda McConnell Brown Barker, 91, will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Lanman Funeral Home Chapel, Cherokee, OK. The Revs. Jim Edmison and Gail Edmison will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Cherokee, OK. to Lewis Prescott and Florence Isdore Daily McConnell and died Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Cherokee Manor.
She married J. Frank Brown. She later married Mr. Barker. She lived in Helena, OK. until 1972 when she moved to Cherokee. She was a homemaker and a member of Cherokee United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and worked in United Methodist Women. She also was a member of Eastern Star of Helena.
Surviving are one son, Larry Brown of Helena, OK.; and a sister, Euvaughna Frech of Woodward, OK.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, seven brothers and one sister.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Cherokee United Methodist Church.
