Norman Westley Bridgforth

November 4, 1939 - January 9, 2020

Norman was born on November 4, 1939 to Wilfred Bridgforth and Lena Opal Musick Bridgforth in Rincon Beach, California and passed from this life on January 9, 2020 at his home in Helena. He married Elmira Louise Boon on June 6, 1960, and two children were born to this union: Lisa Elmira and Donald Westley. Norman worked at Crest Food Center in Belton, Missouri from 1958 until 1963 and he also taught scuba diving from 1958 - 1963. He and worked for Braniff Airlines from 1963 - 1972. They moved to Oklahoma in 1972 and purchased a cement plant in Breckenridge, and in 1973 they moved to Helena and purchased a cement plant, which they operated until 2003. Norman was a Grand Master of the IOOF Lodge from 1958 until 1962. He was a volunteer fireman in Helena for 20 years, a little league baseball coach in South Suburban in Kansas City, Missouri in 1971, and a Scoutmaster in Helena from 1977 until 1979. His hobbies included woodworking and leather work.

Those who preceded him in death include his mother and dad, Wilfred and Opal Bridgforth; three brothers, Edwin Bridgforth, Gerald Bridgforth, and Ronald Bridgforth, and one sister, Wanda Courtney.

Norman is survived by his wife, Elmira; children, Lisa Jantz and husband, Eric and Donald Bridgforth; grandchildren, Jillian Svetgoff and husband, Wade and their children, Bennett, Lincoln, and Laney; Julie Espeland and husband, Matt and their daughter, Jasmine; Ashley FeeBack and husband, Brett and their children, Allie, Maxwell, and Edie; Baylie Bruns and husband, Casey; sister-in-law, Diana Bridgforth, and brother-in-law, Lloyd Boon.

Service for Norman will be Sunday, January 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Timberlake High School Auditorium in Helena. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. www.lanmanmemorials.com Facebook: Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
