Kathryn Swan passed from this life on April 14, 2020, at the age of 93 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Kathryn was born on September 11, 1926, in rural Osage County. She was the daughter of Frank and Rosetta (Collins) Combs. Growing up, Kathryn was raised in Fairfax, Foraker, Chelsea, and Stillwater, Oklahoma. On May 6, 1953, Kathryn was united in marriage to Herman Swan. The two resided in Deer Creek and Medford before moving to Cherokee, Oklahoma. Kathryn moved to Cleveland in early 2010 to be closer to her daughter. Kathryn was a member and attended church for many years at the First United Methodist Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed working in her yard as well as watching Hallmark movies. Her favorite news channels were Channel 4 and 6. Kathryn was very knowledgeable; she taught herself to sew and was a magnificent seamstress. She also crocheted and did embroidering. Kathryn also enjoyed reading books by Helen Steiner Rice or Catherine Marshall.

Survivors include her three children Jolene Cruzen and Robert of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Pam Richards and Charles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Travis Swan and Christy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren Kim Cruzen, Rob Cruzen, Brandon Richards, Brian Richards, Jacob Swan, Jeremy Swan, Savannah Swan; nine great grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, Sahara, Conner, Brinley, Carson, Daxton, Jaxon, Jacee; two great great grandchildren London and Presley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rosetta Combs, husband Herman Swan, brothers Leo and Harold Combs and a sister Minnie Bell Jones

Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2020, at the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery Chapel with Jeremy Hickman officiating. Services will also be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube on the Chapman-Black Funeral Home pages. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Kathryn at www.chapman-black.com.
