Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


Enid – Services for Donald Patton, 63, who died October 9 in an Enid hospital, were at 2 PM Monday in the First Christian Church of Cherokee with the Rev. Gene Spillman officiating.

Burial was at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Fisher Funeral Home.

He was born May 18, 1924, in Alfalfa County to Sam and Atha Sutton Patton. He married Roberta Lambert December 31, 1947, in Cherokee. He retired from the OHP after 20 years with the agency.

During World War II, he was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Before moving to Enid in 1955, he lived in Cherokee and several surrounding communities. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Cherokee, the Enid Elks Club and the Retired Trooper Association.
