Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


Funeral services for William Henry "Pete" Oakley, 83, were at 2 PM Monday at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Jared officiated. Burial was in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Fisher Funeral Home.

Oakley died November 2, 1990 at his home. He was born April 18, 1907 in Lambert to William and Alice Oakley.

He married Joy Alberta Lehman September 26, 1926. He was a retired farmer and implement dealer. He was a member of United Methodist Church, a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Rotary Club.
