Thomas Haskell "Hack" McBroom, 79, died April 19 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid. Funeral services were at 10:30 AM Friday at the First Christian Church with John Bloss officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Fisher Funeral Home.

McBroom was born February 20, 1910 in Ada and attended schools in Cherokee. He married Fern Hadwiger on June 6, 1936 in Cherokee. They lived in Cherokee until 1956 when they moved to Anthony, Kansas, then in 1962 to Tucson, Arizona, and back to Cherokee in 1975.

He was a retired farmer and had worked for the National Park Service in Tucson for 13 years. He was a member of First Christian Church.
