Burial in: Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


Funeral services for Walter S Jenlink, 94, were at 2:30 PM Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darrell Hardy officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Fisher Funeral Home, Inc. He died March 25, 1993 at Cherokee Manor.

He was born August 16, 1898 in Portsmouth Iowa to Charles and Minnie Marie Jenlink. He moved to Alfalfa County with his parents when he was seven. The family settled on a farm southeast of Cherokee. He married Mary R Wakefield on July 30, 1919 in Cherokee. They lived on a farm until 1946 when they moved to Cherokee. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, June Hutson of Cherokee, a granddaughter and a great grandson

His wife died August 19, 1987.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or to the church through the funeral home.
