ENID — Mass of Christian burial for Richard E. Highfill, 51, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Enid, with Rev. Joseph Irwin as celebrant. Graveside service 2 p.m. Thursday in Cherokee Cemetery with Deacon Gary Means officiating. Service is under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory, Enid. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Anderson-Burris Chapel.

Richard was born Nov. 2, 1960, in Cherokee, Okla., to Richard B. and Rachel Stottman Highfill. He was a twin brother to John. Rick died at his home on Sunday, June 17, 2012, in Cherokee.

He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Cherokee High School in 1979. Rick was a lifelong resident of Cherokee.

He worked for Alfalfa County as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church.

Rick is survived by his parents, Richard B. and Rachel Highfill, Enid; his twin brother, John and wife Denise of Selma, N.C.; brothers, Charles, of Enid, George and wife Debbie of Cherokee, David, of Enid; sister, Lillian Highfill of Enid; nephew and nieces, Christopher Highfill, Stephanie Miller, Heather and Ashly Smith and Hally Highfill; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to St. Cornelius Catholic Church.
