Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


The funeral for Howard Edgar Hatfield, 90, was at 2 PM Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Allen Gharet officiated. Burial was in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery, directed by Goodwin Funeral Home. He died June 3, 1993 at his home.

He was born July 25, 1902 south of Cherokee to William E. And Myra C. Garringer Hatfield. He attended Cherokee schools. On May 12, 1924 he married Myrtle Leonard in Alva. They lived on a farm southeast of Cherokee. In 1975, they retired and moved into town. He was a member of Prairie Valley Methodist Church.
