Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


Funeral services for Bernie Wayne Green, 85, who died December 19, will be at 1:30 PM Thursday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Jared officiating. Burial will be at Cherokee Municipal Cemetery directed by Fisher Funeral Home.

He was born December 19, 1903, to Frank and Hattie Davis Green in Woodward County. He grew up in Helena and graduated from Helena High School.

He married Helen Burns April 26, 1925, in Helena. She died June 15, 1966. They lived on a farm west of Helena for eight years, then moved to a farm South of Cherokee where he lived for 42 years, moving to Cherokee in 1976.

He married Celia Wilson June 24, 1967. She died June 3, 1979. He married Neva Packard May 24, 1980. She died in January 1986.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cherokee, the Masonic Lodge, Cro–Tat–Em Club and the Lions Club.
