Cherokee Municipal Cemetery


Deceased: Richard Dix Cox, 76, Cherokee

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Cherokee First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Swift officiating. Burial will be in the Cherokee Municipal Cemetery under the direction of the Goodwin Funeral Home.

He is survived by a son, Stephen R. Cox of Waynoka; four daughters, Kathy A. Willson of Waynoka, Theda R. Cox and Margaret E. Cox, both of Cherokee and Sheri L. Cousins of Colby, Kan.; two sisters, Helen Venosdel of Alva and Eileen Tanata of Tacoma, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 13, 1992 and a granddaughter.

Memorials may be given to either the diabetes or emphysema fund through the funeral home.
