ADA ELIZABETH BROCKMAN
The Rosary for Ada Elizabeth Brockman, 89, of Jet, OK. will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Cherokee, OK. Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Mike Wheelan will officiate. Burial will be in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery, Cherokee, OK. Arrangements are by Goodwin Funeral Home, Cherokee. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born March 29, 1917, in Alva, OK. to Charles Lee and Ada Pearl Hunt Prigmore and died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at Wakita Nursing Home, Wakita, OK.
She married Richard William Winn in March 1940. He preceded her in death. She married Frank Joseph Brockman May 22, 1949. He died Nov. 29, 1976.
She was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church, Cherokee.
Surviving are one son, Richard Winn of Jet, OK.; five daughters, Carol Beggs of Medford, OK., Connie Mechura of Fort Worth, Texas, Barbara Loges of Woodward, OK., Dona Meeker of Wellington, Kan., and Betty Hollrah of Edmond, OK.; two brothers, Phil Prigmore and Earl Prigmore, both of Alva, OK.; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Richard, and Frank, she was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and one granddatughter.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Wakita Community Center, or Hospice Circle of Love.
