Corene L. (Davis) Razey
The funeral for Corene L. Davis Razey, 89, of Carmen, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Carmen Christian Church. The Rev. Kirk Board will officiate. Burial will be in Carmen City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wentworth Mortuary of Carmen.
She was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Carmen, to James A. and Lavina Prather Davis and died Tuesday, May 2, 2006.
She attended Carmen schools.
She married Loman Lee Razey May 14, 1932, in Cherokee. They made their home in Carmen for 35 years. She was a seamstress and worked from her home. They moved to Wichita, Kan., where she continued her education and also did alterations for Nancy’s retail store. She later was a secretary in the radiology department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wichita. She retired and they moved to Grand Lake in Disney. In 1988, they moved to Carmen and made and sold craft items. She had been a member of Carmen Christian Church since 1950. He died March 14, 2001.
Surviving are two daughters, Rose Marie Dubbs of Carmen and Helen Louise Lewis Coffey of Cresson, Texas; three sons, Donald Lee Razey of Colorado Springs, Colo., James Robert Razey of Carmen and Charles Douglas Razey of Wichita; one sister, Lavina Clark of Alva; a brother, R.W. Davis of Carmen; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Loman Lee, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Memorials may be made through the Mortuary to Carmen Christian Church.
