Richard M. “Dickie” Johnson
A graveside service for Richard “Dickie” Johnson, 64, formerly of Carmen, will be 2 p.m. today in Carmen City Cemetery. The Rev. Howard Snell and David Lemmon will officiate. Arrangements and cremation were by Ransdall Funeral Home, Bedford, Ky.
He was born Jan. 18, 1943, in Shamrock to Victor Xerxes and Iva Isabelle Hatch Johnson and died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Bedford.
He attended school in Carmen.
He married Charlotte Ann Stiles Feb. 7, 1962, in Cherokee. He served in the Army and worked in the oil fields, farming, ranching, construction and the restaurant business.
Surviving are one daughter, Pattricia Widney of Oakwood; his foster brother, David Lamon of Carmen; and his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter and one brother.
