FRANCES MAE ‘SUSIE’ GUNNING
A graveside service for Frances Mae “Susie” Gunning, 68, will be 2 p.m. Friday in Carmen Cemetery, Carmen, OK. The Rev. Reese Klepacz will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home, Enid, OK.
She was born May 5, 1937, near Manchester, OK. to George and Viola Crocket Cheney and died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Enid, OK.
She attended Manchester schools.
She married Richard Gunning Oct. 9, 1952. They made their home in Enid. She was a member of Manchester Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband, Richard, of the home; two daughters, Phyllis Otis of Harper, Kan., and Barbara Simmons of Billings, Mont.; four sisters, Elsie Maltby of Carmen, OK., Lucy Walborn and Teresa Kirkland, both of Afton, OK. and June True of Blackwell, OK.; one brother, Leroy Cheney of Dacoma, OK.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandson and a brother.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, heart division.
