R.W. ‘BOB’ DAVIS
The funeral for R.W. “Bob” Davis, 81, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christian Church, Carmen. The Revs. Kirk Board and Howard Snell will officiate. Burial will be in Carmen City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wentworth’s Mortuary, Carmen.
He was born July 21, 1925, on the family farm west of Carmen to James A. and Lovina Prather Davis and died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, in Enid.
He attended a rural school near his home and Carmen High School. He served in the Army in Korea. He married Lacada Dillard July 24, 1943, in Alva. They were members of Carmen Christian Church. They were custom harvesters 36 years. He was a welder, painter and a farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Lacada of the home; two daughters, Karen Sue Whitely of Elk City and Robbie Dawn Parker of Carmen; one sister, Lovina Clark of Alva; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Carmen first responders.
