She and Wayne Bowers were married on February 13, 1987. Wayne had proposed marriage just as they got off work so they ran down to the courthouse and got married. Donna's hobbies included rock painting, wood burning, gardening, photography, and baking pies. She loved new recipes. She also loved raising her chickens and ducks, cats, and dogs. Her downfall was going to Atwood's and buying all the left-over chickens or ducks. She was proud to say that she owned all the Chicken Lady t-shirts that Atwood's had to sell.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Bowers; her parents, Gene and Lovell Belter; two babies; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Haley and Mary Lovell Bruner.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, David Belter of Helena; numerous nieces and nephews across the United States, and many friends.
