ENID — BURLINGTON — Funeral for Jim Ackerman, 77, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Burlington Christian Church. Burial in Apostolic Cemetery. Arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Kiowa, Kan. Visitation 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today. (www.lanmanmemorials.com)

Jim was born July 28, 1934, in Cherokee, Okla., to Ben and Margaret Schurter Ackerman and died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, in Wichita, Kan.

Surviving are wife, Marcelyn of Burlington; two children, Kathy Lines and husband Randy of Lyons, Kan., and Brett Ackerman and wife Lisa of Burlington; four grandchildren, Jami, Angie, Jodi and Jared; and one great-grandchild.
