FERN I. STEWART
ALINE — Funeral for Fern Stewart, 91, of Aline, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Aline United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Heusel and Rev. Roy Wahlgren officiating. Burial will be in Aline Star Cemetery with Lanman Funeral Home, Inc., Helena, in charge of arrangements. Memories may be shared with the family at www.lanmanmemorials.com. Casket will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday with the family present 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Helena on Monday.

Fern Stewart was born June 29, 1919, in Kellyville, Okla., the daughter of Harry Bruce and Viola Maples Hueston and departed this life Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Fairview, Okla.

She and Ross Edgar Stewart were married and first made their home in Stillwater, then Wichita, Kan., finally settling on a farm near Aline, where resided for 65 years.

Fern was a member of Friendly Quilting Club, Aline Silverettes Homemakers and Bridge Club. She was a member of Aline United Methodist Church.

Fern is preceded in death by her husband, Ross Edgar Stewart; her parents, Harry and Viola Hueston; grandsons, Steven Bruce Stewart and David Allan Stewart; three brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Doris Jean Ludlow and husband, Darrell, William “Billy” Bruce Stewart, James Orval Stewart, Ross Edgar Stewart Jr. and wife, Susie; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to Aline United Methodist Church or Elm Flat Christian Church through the funeral home.
