MARJORIE SCHENBECK
ENID — A graveside memorial service for Marjorie Schenbeck, 92, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Aline Star Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Aline Senior Center.

Marjorie passed away June 7, 2012, in Lebanon, Ore.

TSGT Louis D. Schenbeck was born Feb. 13, 1917 at Aline and attended high school there. He was inducted into the service at Ft. Sill OK on Jan. 7, 1942, receiving his training in ordnance at Camp Hulen TX and Camp Van Dorn MS. SGT Schenbeck was assigned to the 1st Army ADSEC, 891st Ordnance and served 21 months overseas in the ETO. He received his discharge Oct. 20, 1945 and was awarded the ETO Medal with 4 Battle Stars and the Good Conduct Medal.
